First up last week was scooping colored bears. As always, anything involving water is a hit!
Another fun activity was working with our Santa Claus matryoshka - such a good opportunity to work on size differences and opening and closing skills:
I think Pita Pocket's favorite activity was matching some family nomenclature cards that I made. He loved identifying everyone:
He also worked on pouring colored pasta:
And enjoyed examining and naming the animals from Short Pants' vertebrate/invertebrate lesson:
And he was really excited when Short Pants went through one of the continent boxes with him:
Pita asked to work with the locks and keys, so we got that back out again:
He's been working on asking his brother, "May I watch you work, please?":
But sometimes there are tears when he's reminded to only look and not touch unless invited:
Good thing the sound/no sound lesson I set up distracted him! This is one I've seen several places: just use a screwdriver to pry up the prongs of a few jingle bells and take the ball inside out, then show your kiddo how to listen for a sound or no sound and sort them:
If you did some Montessori lessons last week with your toddler, please post them below. Please also make sure to include the Toddler Tuesday button from the sidebar in your post or place a link back to this blog in your post. Thanks for reading and participating!
